APKASI and the Adiluhung Nusantara Education Foundation have once again reaffirmed their commitment to improving the quality of education and human resources in Indonesia through the 2024 Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Pathway of the Golden Indonesia-District Scholarship Program (BIE-D). The virtual opening event on October 5, 2024, was attended by scholarship recipients, representatives from local governments, partner universities, and relevant stakeholders.
Dra. Siti Nurkhayati, M.Pd, the Chairperson of the Adiluhung Nusantara Education Foundation, delivered the first address. She emphasized that the BIE-D RPL aims to enhance the quality of human resources in Indonesia, especially for Civil Servants (Educators/Non-Educators), village officials, and contract employees. The program has successfully provided educational opportunities for them to pursue undergraduate and graduate studies at various prestigious State Universities in Indonesia, enrolling 1000 RPL students from Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ), Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES), Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY), Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), and Universitas Negeri Manado (UNIMA).
Drs. Sokhiatulo Laoli, M.M., the Advisory Council of APKASI, also expressed high appreciation for the selected awardees. He underscored the importance of education in nation-building.
“Through the BIE-D RPL program, APKASI is committed to providing equal opportunities for all Indonesians to access quality education. We hope that the awardees can make the most of this opportunity to develop themselves and contribute to their respective regions,” stated Mr. Sokhiatulo Laoli.
Dr. Himmatul Hasanah, M.P., the APKASI Advisor and Initiator of the Golden Indonesia District Scholarship Program, highlighted that the BIE-D RPL program is an innovative solution designed to accommodate the prior learning experiences of participants. Unlike traditional scholarship programs, Mrs. Himmatul Hasanah emphasized that in the BIE-D RPL program, awardees will receive comprehensive learning and training through socialization on benefits, quality improvement techniques, program monitoring, and evaluation. She assured full support would be provided to ensure awardees graduate on time, alongside the Adiluhung Nusantara Education Foundation, which is committed to being a constant companion throughout their studies.
In the final address and official welcome ceremony for the selected awardees of the 2024 Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Pathway of the Golden Indonesia-District Scholarship Program, APKASI Executive Director, Sarman Simanjorang, M.Si., shared encouragement and motivation with the awardees. The official welcome event for the selected awardees of the Golden Indonesia-District Scholarship Program’s 2024 Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Pathway serves as a reaffirmation and inspiration for awardees to remain optimistic and positive as they embark on their college education journey, actively contributing to the nation’s future development.
